Adam Mitchell

Adam Mitchell is an experienced real estate and development professional who currently operates his own property investment and development business, Major Ventures, while also serving as an Independent Development Consultant to Placewell on a part-time basis. Adam supports Placewell across a range of projects.

Adam has worked closely with the Placewell team for nearly eight years, having previously worked alongside Ben Simpson and other Placewell team members at both St. Bourke and Drapac Capital Partners. This long-standing professional relationship provides clients with the benefit of a highly collaborative and integrated team approach, underpinned by extensive shared experience across large-scale residential and mixed-use development projects.

Prior to establishing Major Ventures in 2025, Adam served as Senior Director of Real Estate for Drapac Capital Partners and Portfolio Manager at St. Bourke. In these roles, he played a direct role in portfolio strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, finance, and investor relations activities. Adam was responsible for oversight of company assets valued at approximately $400 million across six states and eleven markets and directly facilitated land dispositions totaling more than $90 million. He also led public approval, rezoning, and entitlement efforts for more than 3,750 single-family lots and secured additional permitting for over 1,200 residential lots.

Earlier in his career, Adam served as Real Estate Manager for Equitas Management Group, where he was responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing development opportunities with one of the world’s largest retailers.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia. A distinguished collegiate golfer, he was a three-time All-American, served as Team Captain, earned Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition, and later represented the United States in the prestigious Walker Cup competition.

Through his ongoing collaboration with Placewell, Adam brings significant expertise in land acquisition, entitlement strategy, financial analysis, development management, and builder relations, supporting the successful delivery of residential and mixed-use development projects across multiple markets.
